Shipwire Review - Worst 3pl fullfillment

Shipwire Review - Worst 3pl fullfillment Currently knee-deep in their warehouse with my inventory. It took 3 weeks to receive and and other 3 weeks for it to populate online. Meanwhile they have no problem charging fees on inventory I cannot move. Communication is non-existent, since they only rely on email. No real people exist at this company. Your calls go straight to a gatekeeper in the Philippines and if you are lucky they will find an "expert" for you. Apologies for the below, I want to get as many SEO terms as possible to see how *** this company is. Shipwire Shipstation Shopify Volusion Warehouse Shipping Scam Ingersoll Rand

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - YOU WILL LOSE YOUR INVENTORY

We signed up because we needed a service that would allow us to fully automate our sales funnel. In particular, we needed cheap storage and to outsource packing and shipping our products. Having mastered the art of SEO, ShipWire is the only company you will find for several pages, and it's a shame we didn't keep digging, because what happened to us was, basically catastrophic. We signed up because we could quickly and easily setup an account, define products, give them a credit card for automatic monthly billing, connect it to our PayPal account to ship out orders as they come in, and then ship them our inventory. All for $24.95/mo. since the amount of merchandise we were shipping was less than a certain amount of space taken up as advertised as being what they would store at that rate. We would never log into ShipWire.com again unless it was either to send more inventory to their warehouse, make changes to existing products, or investigate some sort of a shipping issue. Every company we have ever done business with does the same thing if there is a problem with charging our account (like if a credit card expiration date has passed), which is either call, write or email the contact information you give them when you create an account to ask that the bill be settled somehow. They may also leave you a message in your account on their website, for you, but, you will be notified via e-mail at the very least, if not also by phone or, in the increasingly rare case, by postal mail. Indeed, we hadn't logged into the account in months because not only did we have no need to make any changes to our account or resolve any ordering issues, we never received any email or phone calls telling us things like they have considered our account to be abandoned. Or, they haven't received a payment from us recently. Or, if you don't reactivate your account, send us a payment, or otherwise contact us, we will take the $3,500 worth of retail merchandise in our warehouse and destroy it. One day, we did happen to log in, because we needed to confirm the amount of inventory in stock for an upcoming sales campaign only to discover several horrifying anomalies. First of all, we had an unexplained balance of nearly $1,500! At the rate we signed up for, that would suggest we hadn't made a payment in over five years! We had only been a customer for less than two years at this point. I contacted our financial institutions and none of them could find any records of any declined charges being made by ShipWire. We also checked every page to look for a message, a banner, an icon or some other kind of notification that might explain this bizarre anomaly. Due to the absolute lack of any reasonable explanation on the website, we could only believe that there was some kind of terrible accident involving the database that supports their website. Because not only was there this balance that made no sense to us, there was also apparently less than 10 items of our merchandise in stock. We e-mailed ShipWire demanding an explanation but we also reviewed the Terms of Services Agreement and other fine print on the website to see what might be going on here. As for the $1,500 balance, apparently, ShipWire reserves the right to wait some indeterminate amount of time to eventually increase your monthly bill by about 2,000% without notice. As bad as that is, it still didn't explain why it showed they didn't get a payment for three months when they had billed my credit card at the appropriate $24.95 just one month before the account was marked as "abandoned." There is also a cryptic definition given for an abandoned account. Ultimately, it is considered "abandoned" if they try to contact you but after several attempts, you don't respond. This takes me to the third and final point which is that they officially consider you "notified" if they leave a message for you on their website. This message never results in an email to you (as it does in the case of other companies, like your bank for example). Indeed, we never received one phone call, one email, or one letter in the mail from ShipWire that we would have nearly $4,000 worth of merchandise destroyed unless we respond. Had we known that they were going to change our minimum rate to pay to $500/mo., we would have closed our account and demanded an immediate return of our inventory. After weeks of emailing, failed attempts at setting up a phone call (for what purpose remains unclear) until eventually, some rep confirmed all of this. Interestingly enough, there were no messages left anywhere on their website for us to check at any point in time. But even if there was, the point is, we were never given a fair opportunity to rescue thousands of dollars worth of merchandise. This is a text book bait and switch, and text book unfair business practice. Find another company that does what they do. DO NOT risk your merchandise in their hands. You WILL lose it.

Shipwire - Lost 10k and woke up in deep financial loss - Image 2
Shipwire literally stole my moneY worth 10,000USD or more, So finally i started complaining and telling the True story about them over the internet so i get some public's attention, otherwise i was simply kicked out/asked NOT to use shipwire anymore by indian customer success manager Poonam Ram!!!! whats the problem? i signed up few years ago, first days they seemed quite professional and fast service providing company, so i trusted on them and tried to keep my merchandise in their warehouses in LA, PA, and other counries like UK, Canada. i sell hair extensions, my hair is one of the top quality Expensive hair in the world, And i wanted to focus on more productions so i could rely on shipwire's logistics solving, hopefully!!!! as soon as business started, shipswire causing me errors while shipping my order, missing quantities, long unknown delays, horrible customer service - as no responding to my emails, lies thru emails and phone calls saying that 2hours time respond be provided however it took them 2days or more for a resond, damages to merchandise, and absolutely loss of money, lost merchandise inside warehouse, while shipping out, and delivered parcel with missing merchandise. funny, scary and quite big financial lossy!!!! i placed up to 80,000USD worth merchandise in their warehouse, guess what, they lost at least 10,000USD worth merchandise inside the warehouse, however i asked them to take pictures and have me see them, guess what??? i had to open a special project with their office/warehouse and they would charge me at least few Hundred dollars for to take pictures for me and At least 2weeks they should hold my merchandise for no shipping out at all while them taking pictures of my stored merchandise!!!! i do 24/7 business, i can NOT stop my business for 2 weeks or so because shipwire taking photos of merchandise does need 2 weeks time or more, even thou my merchandise up to 80,000USD worth they do not take large spaces to store them, taking pictures can NOT take 2weeks, its not making a movie, simply shoot some pictures, maximum like a small dinner table size space needed for all my merchandise, and my merchandise are quite medium size like a wholewheat bread size, so it is not tiny some like chinese keychains or mini toys, you could make a picture of my merchandise in 3 minutes maximum, lets say 15minutes if you a lazy worker, but NOT 2 WEEKS or more thou. loss of time, money, customers here. so, im placing my fullfilment order with shipwire, and they do not ship the order as they promise, Guaranteed same day shipping, no way, most times they never ship same day, absolute LIERS!!!! i have tons of proofs, they say guaranteed next day shipping, no way!!!, it works sometimes but most times it is not the guaranteed next day, it is probably guaranteed sometime shipping within a week or so!!!! this causes another loss of money, and it is actually an extra paid service. so you losign here another extra bucks. the worst is, they shipped my boxes to my customers, and guess what? delay was at least few days, sometimes few weeks, which meant a nightmare for my customer, i had to refund back the funds and also compensate sometimes from my own pocket because of shipwire's long delays, and also pay my return shipping fees, as sometimes customers refuse the orders as of long delays and return shippings fees arised, another horrible financial losses., no way i was covered here at all, lost tons of money. even thou they try to email you saying apologieas and offering some handling fee refunds which is 3.50$, but i was losing hundreds of dollars here!!! and the main big loss was, shipwire shipped my large packages few times and reported me that All merchandise requested on checklist was shipped out to my customer, guess what??? my customer opens the package and sees missing merchandise worth thousands of dollars, a nightmare!!!! my customer almost called a police, thinking that i was sending her half of her order, packages with missing units inside were simply a BIG LOSS, Nightmare, Trouble, you tell me a right word. you will not believe me, but i lost at least 10,000USD worth merchandise, Time, my Health, Customers, Business reputatuion, and etc,. i have few images of my conversation with shipwire managers attached to public below, i hope shipwire will have such bad rainy days on their business as well, God sees all!!!! my experince is that how badly they got me into deep financial loss....

Shipwire ripped us off for $9440.00 and refuses to pay it back

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Shipwire was responsible for shipping 152 orders incorrectly. This accumulated to $9440.00 in lost product. We were never reimbursed for this mistake they made. When we first opened an account at shipwire.com, their tech team set up a number of product bundles incorrectly. This resulted in 152 orders being "double shipped" to various customers. We contacted shipwire on several occasions throughout the past 6 months. Both by phone and by email. Our emails and phone calls regarding this issue were ignored. After contacting a lawyer and the Better Business Bureau, they offered to reimburse us for roughly 1,000.00 in shipping costs and refused to pay the actual amount due. We refused this offer. The total loss is approximately $9440.00. The next step will be moving forward with legal action. If you are considering working with this company, I would highly advise against it. Aside from the $9440.00 loss, they failed on every level. They managed to infuriate hundreds of our customers due to the horrendous package jobs, late shipments, by sending incorrect orders on a regular basis.

Shipwire Awful Experience

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We cooperated with Shipwire twice, in 2010 and in 2015. In 2010, when we first used Shipwire services for about half a year, several master boxes with expensive ebook readers were lost. The total loss was around 4000$. Shipwire declared that all goods were loaded to the forwarding company and we trusted their word and thought that the goods were lost in transition. Now we are almost sure that the goods were lost by Shipwire though no proof available. Goods words about Shipwire in 2010 that they fulfilled several hundreds of our orders without significant delays or errors. This time we got a trial lot of around 50 rather expensive items on December 2015 and within 20 days of using Shipwire services, 15% of inventory was lost ( or stolen ) within Shipwire’s premises. It is really too much and too fast. Shipwire refused to credit the loss ( they admit the loss ) because the inventory was not additionally insured by us. But worst of all were 7-10 days delays in order fulfillment in December which ruined our Amazon sales. I assume that the potential clients should better ( then we did ) understand how frequently the losses of inventory occur in Shipwire warehouses and that no responsibility from their side is hold. The clients should understand the importance of inventory insurance so that they do not repeat our errors of considering Shipwire a responsible and reliable company. Now we moved to FBA and remember Shipwire as a nightmare.

Shipwire is the worst fullfillment center

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Shipwire is by far the WORST fulfillment group I have ever had the displeasure of working with. You are forced to communicate via email because when you call no one has a clue and says sorry I will leave Rebekah Jones a message. Tragically she NEVER calls you back leaving you to spend days on a shipment that would take 5 minutes with any other company. Instead you get the run around via email. You never get a simple straight answer. The responses take forever. Do yourself a favor and work with someone like Amazon or OHL. At least they will operate in a professional manor and actually attempt to make your experience pleasant and painless as possible.
